Game SetupIn this section you can set new up games as a combination of the 4 main DJEEO elements. The elements are chosen and set up as shown in the example in Figure 3.6.
1. Subject packs are the subject assignments that learners are introduced to and have to solve during the game. You can either choose one or two subject packs for a game. For further information on subject packs, click the “Go to Subject packs'' link in the list of subject packs. NB: Be aware that Subject packs have to be registered and their status on “Ready” before they can be used for a game. You can download new Subject packs in the Library. For more information go to the “Subject Packs” section in the menu. 2. Participants – choose a “Class set up“ in the list provided, with the same number of teams as your class on the day of the game, or select the class that you have configured for the particular game. (Advice: It is a good idea to create standard classes with 3 to7 teams). For more information, click the “Teams” link in the menu. 3. Course – do you want learners to go for a long run or rather a short jog? Is the main focus of the assignment to get plenty of exercise or to solve tailor-made Location assignments in a particular course? Ensure that the field is clearly marked for the game. See more in the “Courses” section found in the menu. 4. GPS Game boxes – which DJEEO Playbox are you going to use? Often the choice is simple as there is only one Playbox available. For further information see the “Playbox” section in the menu. |
